Zorn landscape

Worked on an underpainting for a small landscape oil painting yesterday.  Although the Zorn palette (cad red, yellow ochre, black and white) may seem more suited to figurative work I thought I’d try it out on a landscape. Quite like the mood this palette lends to the landscape – worth an experiment at any rate.

  1. LOVE THIS! So Zen. Muted but moving. Love the reflection in the water. I’d buy as is! How much?

Thanks Elisa! Very kind. interesting you like it so much since it’s Grantchester Meadows! It’s really just a study but I’ll leave as is and do another complete piece and you can see which you prefer. Thanks! Kim
