“Flowers. Fruit and Vessels”

This piece is drying now – fair bit of impasto and stand oil so will take a while to dry. Lots of texture and colour. I developed the composition by continually adding layers of colour and observing shapes which I then defined into the various objects.  In the end result I can visualize a number of imaginary lines interesting through the subject matter creating interesting rays and angles which contrasts with the more round shapes of the objects themselves.
